چکیده

Abstract Compared with acceleration-based modal analysis, displacement can provide a more reliable and robust identification result for output-only analysis of long-span bridges. However, the estimated displacements from acceleration records are frequently unavailable due to unrealistic drifts. Aiming at obtaining accurate stable results determining parameters, this study develops multi-rate weighted data fusion approach estimating responses in dynamic monitoring structures based on global navigation satellite system (GNSS) measurements. The initially derives local estimations sensors via Kalman filter algorithm colored measurement noise, later uses criterion scalar linear minimum variance fuse estimations. Then, structural pamameters identified by employing data-driven stochastic subspace (SSI) algorithm. proposed is validated four degree-of-freedom numerical model then applied bridge engineering practice. illustrate that reduce error GNSS-obtained expand recognizable frequency range introducing component measurement.

Multimode coupled flutter and buffeting analysis of long span bridges

In this paper, the equations of structural motion are expressed in time-invariant state-space equations by expressing the frequency dependent self-excited forces in terms of rational functions. Accordingly, the multimode coupled flutter analysis is reduced to evaluate the eigenvalues of a constant matrix at each prescribed wind velocity. This formulation is computationally efficient in comparis...

Nonlinear response analysis of long-span bridges under turbulent winds

This paper presents a time domain analysis framework for predicting nonlinear response of long-span bridges under turbulent winds. The nonlinear unsteady aerodynamic forces are modeled based on static force coefficients, flutter derivatives, admittance functions, and their spanwise correlations at varying angles of incidence. This analysis framework incorporates frequency dependent parameters o...

Dynamic impact analysis of long span cable-stayed bridges under moving loads

The aim of this paper is to investigate the dynamic response of long span cable-stayed bridges subjected to moving loads. The analysis is based on a continuum model of the bridge, in which the stay spacing is assumed to be small in comparison with the whole bridge length. As a consequence, the interaction forces between the girder, towers and cable system are described by means of continuous di...
